What we accept, and what we don't

Every piece is reviewed by a person before it goes live.

What we accept

Modest pieces in honest condition. Abayas, kaftans, thobes, dresses, two-piece sets, skirts, pants, tops, outerwear, jilbab and khimar, prayer sets, loungewear, modest swimwear, and hijabs.

Pre-loved only. souQsy is a resale marketplace, so nothing bought wholesale to resell.

What we need from you

Three photos: front, back, and one detail shot. Hijabs need just one, spread flat or draped so the print and edges are visible.

If your piece has a flaw, show it. Small snags, pilling, a worn hem: all normal on pre-loved. Disclosed flaws don't get you declined. Hidden ones do.

Condition and size. Measurements are optional. Add them if you have them, they help buyers commit.

What we decline

Flaws that weren't disclosed.

Pieces worn past the point a buyer would be happy to receive them.

Photos too dark, too blurry, or too cluttered to show the piece clearly.

Items that don't fit the modest edit. It's a curation call, not a judgment of you.

What we don't take at all

Counterfeits and replicas. If a piece is listed under a brand, it needs to be that brand. This is the one thing that closes an account rather than declining a listing.

Anything you don't have in hand. No pre-orders, nothing you're planning to buy and pass along.

New retail or wholesale stock. souQsy is resale only.

Underwear and intimates, for hygiene reasons.

Swimwear other than burkinis and modest swim sets.

Anything outside the categories on the sell form. Bags, jewelry, and accessories aren't part of souQsy yet. Authenticating them properly is harder than it looks, and we'd rather not open a category we can't police.

A decline isn't permanent

Retake the photos, add what's missing, resubmit. Most declines are a five minute fix, and we'll tell you exactly what to change.
